Spotlight on Our Sponsors: Mornflake Oats

Here at the International Cheese Awards, we’re lucky enough to have a whole range of amazing sponsors – and not just cheese-related either! This month we’ll be taking a closer look at Mornflake Oats – keep reading to find out how you can get your hands on a gorgeous hamper full of oaty goodness.

Milling Oats in Cheshire Since 1675

Mornflake is a true family business, independently owned and still managed by the direct descendants of the original miller, William Lea, who began milling at the Swettenham Mill in Cheshire way back in 1675. Oats have always been an important part of our diet, but business boomed during the rationing of the Second World War, leading to the building of a new mill and factory in Crewe, where the company is still based. These days, many of us embrace oats as the healthiest (and tastiest) of all the cereals – after all, we cannot live on cheese alone (and trust me, I’ve tried).

Mornflake’s Award-Winning Product Range

Over the years, the Mornflake range has grown to encompass a huge variety of products. From traditional oats, mueslis, granolas and oatbrans to the handy Superfast Cereal Pots, Mornflake can pretty much guarantee that breakfast need never be boring. Many of their products have scooped prizes at the International Grand Medaille D'Or, and we’re pleased to welcome them to our own awards as one of our sponsors.
