Spotlight on Our Sponsors: Adams Foods ‘Meet the Experts’ Master Classes – Nantwich Show, Wednesday 30 July

Here at the International Cheese Awards, we’re lucky enough to have a whole range of amazing sponsors whose support makes it possible for us to go from strength to strength. With this year’s show now less than two weeks away, this month we’ll be taking a closer look at Adams Foods, the team behind such well-known cheese brands such as Pilgrims Choice, MU and Lake District Cheddar.

Become a Cheese Expert with Adams Foods

Lucky visitors to this year’s show on Wednesday 30th July will not only be able to sample plenty of cheese at the Adams Foods stand in the Cheese Marquee (number 49, for future reference!), but will also have the chance to brush up on their cheese knowledge at the same time thanks to a series of ‘Meet the Experts’ cheese master classes taking place throughout the day.

Nick Hallam and Richard Newell, Adams Foods Master Cheese Graders, will be on hand to guide visitors through a range of subjects, including tips on how to assemble the perfect Christmas cheeseboard (and select the best wines to go with it) and an insight into how the cheese grading process works – in other words, how the cheese we buy is categorised from mild to mature. Meanwhile, the Adams Foods Development Chef, Paul Jones, will be challenging and inspiring us to cook more creatively with cheese rather than just rustling up cheese on toast or a Cheddar ploughman's.

This approach mirrors Adams Foods’ inventive approach to cheese, with Marketing Director Alistair Jackson commenting: “We hope that our Nantwich Show master classes inspire people to branch away from their usual block cheddar and be more adventurous in how they select and use cheese both for everyday and special occasions. This very much fits in with Adams Foods’ passion for innovation which is reflected by our new Pilgrims Choice Pick N Mix selection which blends cheese with exciting flavours such as Cranberry, Indian Spices, Roquito Peppers & Green Jalapenos and Apple. Whilst our innovative new Pilgrims Choice Crumbles range is transforming everyday dishes into interesting and great tasting meals.”

It all looks a lot of fun – and even better, the master classes are completely free to visitors to the Cheese Marquee, who can attend any or all of the following:
