September Competition: Celebrating 10,000 Twitter followers with a little help from Delamere Dairy

If you follow us on social media, you can have hardly failed to notice me trumpeting on about our Twitter milestone over the summer – yes, we’ve reached 10,000 followers. I like to think it’s my skill with a cheese pun that’s attracted all those new followers, but in reality it’s down to two things: the brilliance of the International Cheese Awards as an event (it’s officially the biggest and best cheese show in the world, don’t you know) and the generosity of some wonderful cheese producers who have given us some awesome prizes for our monthly Twitter competition. We obviously needed something special to mark our milestone and are delighted to say that Delamere Dairy have given us a great hamper for one lucky follower to win.

Enter our September Competition with Delamere Dairy

Delamere Dairy, named after the beautiful Delamere Forest where Liz and Roger Sutton started the business with just three goats thirty years ago, has a long and successful relationship with The International Cheese Awards. 2016 was no exception - Delamere scooped no fewer than ten awards for their range of goats’ cheese, milk, butter and yoghurts, including three golds. Many people have switched to goats’ milk products as they find them easier to digest than those made with cows’ milk, whilst others (like me) just prefer the taste – I am particularly addicted to the smooth sweetness of the Honey Goats’ Cheese Log (which, to my utter distress, they’d sold out of by the time I reached their stall at the awards this summer). This month’s competition gives you the chance to win a Delamere Dairy hamper packed full of delicious goats’ cheese goodies, crackers, chutney and a bottle of wine (as well as a gorgeous little toy goat), but if you’re not lucky enough to win our competition, you can find the Delamere range in most major supermarkets – full details can be found on their website.

To be in with a chance of winning this amazing prize, keep an eye on our Twitter feed (@iCheeseAwards) for one of the special competition tweets this week, then simply retweet and make sure you’re following both us and @DelamereDairy. Winner will be drawn at random at 8pm on Sunday 2nd October. Entrants must be over 18 and UK resident. Good luck everyone!
