Sean Wilson Added to Chef Line-Up

With this year’s International Cheese Awards just over two months away, we’re excited to announce that Sean Wilson has been confirmed to do a cookery demonstration at our Show Day on July 30th. Sean joins James Martin, Will Holland and Jonathan Harrison in what looks set to be the busiest and best chef line-up yet.

Sean Wilson Biography

Sean is still best known for playing Coronation Street’s Martin Platt for over twenty years, but since leaving the show in 2005 he has been following a different path, training as a chef and working in several Michelin starred restaurants including Northcote Manor. In 2009 he started The Saddleworth Cheese Company with best friend of 30 years Mark Revell and met with immediate success, winning three awards at the British Cheese Awards in 2009 (including the Gold Medal for “Muldoons Picnic”). Sean and Mark went on to win three more British Cheese Awards in 2010 and a Gold Medal at the World Cheese Awards in both 2011 and 2012.

Sean has been seen recently on our screens in the Channel 5 series Great Northern Cookbook, with an accompanying cook book of the same name published by Hodder. He is also the Patron of The International Cheese Awards, and we are delighted he is able to join us this year.
