Jonathan Harrison is chef patron of The Sandpiper Inn, Leyburn, a 17th century inn, which he has run with his wife Janine since 1999. While he has been here the business has won many accolades and strives to serve the freshest and finest of local ingredients. Everything is made in house from bread to ice cream.

Career highlights

  • Various gold medals at Salon Culinaire in Birmingham and London, including “Parade des Chefs.”
  • Michelin star experience in France, England and Jersey.
  • Chef de Cuisine at Birmingham’s only 5 star hotel with a brigade of 32.
  • Winning Roux Scholarship in 1993- went to Alain Ducasse, Monte Carlo.
