International Cheese Awards Press Release April 2015: Sean Wilson Completes our Celebrity Chef Line-Up, and Entries for this year’s Show Now Open!

It’s been a busy old month for news about this year’s International Cheese Awards, which take place in Nantwich on 28th and 29th July 2015. Here’s all the latest, including the full line-up of chefs for the demo theatre on Show Day and details of how to enter produce for Judging Day.

Sean Wilson Takes the Last Slot in our Celebrity Chef Demo Kitchen

We’re delighted to announce that cheesemaker Sean Wilson has confirmed he will once again be doing a cookery demonstration for us at this year’s show, and completes our line-up of celebrity chefs for 2015.

For many years, Sean was best known for playing Coronation Street’s Martin Platt, but since leaving the show in 2005 he has been carving out a name for himself as a highly successful cheesemaker, training as a chef and working in several Michelin starred restaurants including Northcote Manor before starting The Saddleworth Cheese Company with best friend of 30 years Mark Revell in 2009. The pair have achieved incredible success, winning numerous awards for their cheese at all the major awards. Last year Sean had a busy old time in Nantwich, manning his stall and winning medals as well as doing a cookery demo for us, and we’re thrilled to welcome him back this year.
Sean takes his place alongside James Martin, Will Holland and Jonathan Harrison in the Le Gruyere Cookery Theatre on July 29th - tickets for each of the demos will be available shortly via the Nantwich Show website.
