December Competition – Celebrate Christmas with Bradburys and Welcome our New Chairman!

We were all very sad to see Bruce Macdonald step down as Chairman of the International Cheese Awards this summer, after three fantastic years in the job. However, every cloud has a silver lining, and we were pleased to announce the news back in October that Chris Chisnall, our former Co-Vice Chairman, would be stepping up to take his place. Chris is perfect for the role, having worked as Marketing Director at Bradburys Cheese in Buxton for the last 11 years – he knows pretty much everything there is to know about cheese, and he’ll do a great job in his new post. He’s staying on at Bradburys, of course, and that’s where this month’s competition comes in....

Sourcing the Very Best Cheeses Since 1884

Bradbury and Son was founded in Buxton by the Reverend William John Bradbury way back in 1884, established to source and provide the very best cheese to a range of prestigious customers. The company has changed hands several times since but is still based in Buxton, albeit at a much bigger premises to keep up with the demand! Bradburys supply both the retail and the wholesale trade, and are valued both for their cheese knowledge and expertise and for the huge range of cheese they have access to from across Europe – over 400 from 200 different suppliers at last count. On top of this, Bradburys have created a number of cheese brands of their own (including a favourite of mine, Old Amsterdam), and always do well with their entries at the International Cheese Awards. You can find out more about Bradburys and their range of services here, and we’re delighted that they’ve chosen to work with us for our Christmas giveaway.
