Supreme Champion, Bradburys Cheese

This year over 300 cheese experts judged a record 5,685 cheese and dairy entries, all within 5 hours! Head judge Dai Willaims said the standard was exceptionally high and was a very close run competition for the top awards.

The eventual winner and 2017 ICA Supreme Champion and proud new holder of The National Westminster Cup has been won by a sheep milk blue cheese from Papillon, Roquefort Revelation from France staged by Bradburys Cheese.

Reserve Supreme Champion, Arla Foods

Reserve Supreme Champion and winner of The Paul Smith-Palmer Memorial Trophy has been won by Arla Foods Tuxford and Tebbutt for their Whole Blue Stilton.

Retail Supreme Champion, Waitrose

We are delighted with the increase in interest of our Retail Classes and are pleased that the retail trade see the International Cheese Awards as the perfect competition to benchmark their products against the best in the world.

Our congratulations to Waitrose as once again the ICA Supreme Retailer of the Year, awarded to the retailer with the most gold awards across all classes, with their grand total of 24 golds and also for winning the accolade of Speciality Cheese Retailer of the year.

Congratulations also to Morrisons coming in a close second with 18 gold awards as well as winning Cheddar Cheese Retailer of the year.
