- Judging and Trade Day Tuesday 25th July 2017
- Show Day Wednesday 26th July 2017
It was only just last year that Gert van Leeuwen from Treur Kass of the Netherlands was over the moon to have won Reserve Supreme Champion at the 2015 ICA Awards. So goodness knows how happy he must be today after winning the prestigious title of Supreme Champion and proud new holder of The National Westminster Cup for their Jerseyhoeve Schorren aged cheese made from Jersey cow’s milk.
This year’s Reserve Supreme Champion and winner of The Paul Smith-Palmer Memorial Trophy is Elite Imports Ltd with their Grand Noir cheese.
We are delighted with the increase in interest of our Retail Classes and are pleased that the retail trade see the International Cheese Awards as the perfect competition to benchmark their products against the best in the world. This year the enlarged Retail Marquee sponsored by Coveris took centre stage to house the many entries for judging.
Waitrose is once again the 2016 Supreme Retailer with their 25 Gold awards across all classes and Morrisons came in a close second with 21 Gold awards.
We are delighted to announce the winners of the other top awards as follows;
Once again we would like to thank all the retailers who entered this year’s Awards and would like to congratulate you all for the outstanding quality of your products and for your help in making the International Cheese Awards the best cheese trade show to compete against your own competition.
